  • Room completion checklist

The formula

Build the room from the foundation up.

01

Function + Flow

Define what the room has to do before deciding what it should look like.

02

Foundation

Choose layout, rug, foundational furniture and the visual focal point first.

03

Depth

Add lighting, materials, contrast and texture to make the room feel considered.

04

Finish

Scale art, pillows, curtains and styling pieces so the room reads as complete.

Built for real decisions

The measurements people usually guess at.

Rug scale

Choose rug dimensions based on your actual seating footprint, not the amount of exposed floor you think you should leave.

Art + curtains

Use repeatable ratios for art width, curtain height, fullness and rod placement so walls feel intentionally dressed.

Lighting

Map ambient, task and accent lighting before adding more decorative objects to a room that still feels flat.

Questions

Before you start.

Is this a custom interior design service?

No. The Blueprint is a guided digital system. If you want Curated Manor to work from photos of your actual space, choose Design My Room.

Will it work with furniture I already own?

Yes. The framework is designed to help you evaluate scale, placement, color and missing layers before deciding what actually needs to be replaced.

Is it style-specific?

The core design rules are style-neutral. Curated Manor examples show how the same principles translate across Modern Luxe, Modern Organic, Warm Minimalist and Hotel-Inspired aesthetics.
